Rose Theatre Kingston today announce Melly Still as an Associate Artist. Still takes on the role having previously directed the world premiere stage adaptation of Elena Ferrante's My Brilliant Friend for the company. She is currently directing the UK tour and first stage adaptation of Louis de Bernieres' best-selling novel Captain Corelli's Mandolin, a co-production between Rose Theatre Kingston, Neil Laidlaw and Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
The 2019 UK tour and first major stage production of CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN features an ensemble cast of 15 with Alex Mugnaioni playing the title character and Madison Clare, Fred Fergus and Joseph Long playing Pelagia, Francesco and Dr Iannis respectively.

As the UK marks the centenary of women's victory in the fight for suffrage, for which hundreds of women were imprisoned, Fuel presents three specially commissioned sound installations exploring different aspects of female incarceration. Working with leading academics on the history of women's imprisonment at the University of Warwick and award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry, whose recent work includes Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on the West End and Broadway, Fuel will present the installations at a week-long exhibition at Tate Modern before touring the UK (dates tbc) and being made available online as a podcast series.

Rose Theatre Kingston today announces its 2018 Christmas show, a festive new version with original music of the Brothers' Grimm classic Hansel & Gretel written by Ciaran McConville, who returns to the theatre following last year's successful adaptation of Alice in Winterland. Rosie Jones will direct a cast of local young actors from Rose Youth Theatre led by a team of professional actors. The production opens on Friday 14 December, with previews from Thursday 6 December, and runs until Sunday 6 January 2019.
