The Chicago Humanities Festival is moving full speed ahead towards the 27th annual Fallfest, releasing its full line-up of events. Fallfest/16: Speed will feature more than 100 events by prominent artists, authors, historians, scientists, and cultural commentators including Dan Savage, Maureen Dowd, Trevor Noah, and Jonathan Lethem.

This fall, pop in for some pop-up feasts in unique settings--joining some of the country's most innovative chefs and food artisans for a new culinary adventure when Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking returns to kick-off Season Four. The Emmy® nominated food and travel series, hosted by award-winning Australian chef and author Pete Evans, travels to an array of incredible food destinations in 13 all-new episodes designed to inspire home cooks everywhere. Produced by WGBH and Fine Cooking magazine, the series premieres on public television stations beginning Saturday, September 3rd (check local listings).

Chicago Humanities Festival Sets Additional Presenters for 2016 Fallfest

With the 2016 Fallfest, Speed, fast approaching, the Chicago Humanities Festival is eager to announce the addition of several newsmakers, cultural commentators, and tastemakers to its line-up of more than 100 programs. The presenters include public intellectual Melissa Harris-Perry, appearing in conjunction with Illinois Humanities, New York Timesbestselling writer Mary Roach, Invisible Man Got the Whole World Watching author Mychal Denzel Smith, Fat Rice partners Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo, and a David Bowieand Prince-themed musical tribute.

BET Networks announced today the sponsors for the 2016 BET Experience at L.A. LIVE presented by Coca-Cola, which include Sprite, Nissan North America, Inc., AT&T, Denny's, J.G. Wentworth, Apple Music, M&M's, Macy's, Pop Tart and Papa John's. Twelve brands return from 2015 to engage festival-goers with interactive activations during the packed multi-day event.

New York Philharmonic's 'Concerts in the Parks' to Return for 51st Season, Beginning Today

The 2016 New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, return for the 51st season with five free outdoor concerts, conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, on the Great Lawn in Central Park, Manhattan, beginning today, June 15 and continuing tomorrow, June 16; Prospect Park, Brooklyn (June 17); Cunningham Park, Queens (June 20); and Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx (June 21).

HADESTOWN Creators Set for PERSON PLACE THING Live Show with Randy Cohen at NYTW

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) and FABnyc will co-present a live show with the popular public radio show and podcast Person Place Thing with writer and humorist Randy Cohen, featuring HADESTOWN's celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and inventive two-time Obie award-winning director Rachel Chavkin at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003) on Monday, June 6 at 7:00 pm. The evening will also include musical interludes from HADESTOWN and a brief audience Q&A. Tickets are $10 and be purchased at www.fabnyc.org.

MSNBC Ratings Trend Continues with Double Digit Growth in Key Demos

For November 2015, MSNBC continued to see significant double digit growth over last year in both the key 25-54 demo and total viewers especially in the dayside news block which was up 34% in total viewers over last year and 6% in 25-54 demo.
