The Public Theater has announced that single tickets are now on sale for the 10th Anniversary of the world-renowned UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL, running January 8-19, 2014. A highly-anticipated program of The Public Theater's winter season, the 2014 UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL will include artists from across the U.S. and around the world, including 600 HIGHWAYMEN, Lola Arias, Edgar Oliver, tg STAN, SKaGeN, Andrew Ondrejcak, John Hodgman, Sekou Sundiata, Roger Guenveur Smith, and Toshi Reagon. The late-night Festival Lounge will also include an eclectic mix of adventurous music and cabaret performances, including Champagne Jerry, DJ AndrewAndrew, Invincible, Ethan Lipton, Nick Hallett, Holcombe Waller, and Middle Church Jeriesse Johnson Gospel Choir.

Downtown artist Tommy Smith's WHITE HOT had its New York Premiere at The Flea Theater in April. Now, The Vagrancy is honored to bring you the raw, intimate and emotionally-invasive Los Angeles Premiere helmed by Director Caitlin Hart at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2013. This dark, psychological thriller is encased in a tight love triangle between a troubled woman, her sexy sister and opportunistic husband. The play opens at Theatre Asylum Lab and plays June 7th-June 28th.

Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham announced the line-up today for The Public's 2013-2014 season, continuing the theater's nearly 60 year tradition of producing Shakespeare and the classics, musicals, contemporary and experimental works in equal measure while engaging a wide range of audiences and artists at its six downtown theaters at Astor Place, including Joe's Pub, as well as the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The Public's 58th season will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the acclaimed Under the Radar Festival and the 15th anniversary of the world-renowned Joe's Pub. 'We will bring you the triumphant return (and climax) of Richard Nelson's Apply Family Plays, the heartbreaking and gorgeous new musical Fun Home, and Tarell Alvin McCraney's thrilling Antony & Cleopatra, in a collaboration between England and America's leading Shakespeare companies. We are deeply proud of the range and depth of the work of these remarkable artists and are delighted to add them to the rich history of The Public Theater.'

Pegi Young, Charlotte Church, Pascal Schumacher, Tecla Esposito, Bill Kirchen, NY Theremin Society, Abigail Washburn, Slavic Soul Party!, Aputumpu Festival 2013, Justin Vivian Bond, Kenyon Phillips, Scream Along with Billy and Jomama Jones are featured in the lineup at Joe's Pub at the Public this week, March 25-31, 2013.

Matthew Paul Olmos' 'so go the ghosts of mexico, part one' -- selected by Sam Shepard as the inaugural play to be presented under the auspices of the first-ever Ellen Stewart Award -- will be given its world-premiere production by La MaMa (74 E. 4 St.) with preview performances starting April 11 prior to its official press opening on April 14, it has been announced by La MaMa artistic director Mia Yoo.

Clawhammer banjo player, composer and singer ABIGAIL WASHBURN will debut POST-AMERICAN GIRL at Joe's Pub at The Public March 28 - 30 as part of NEW YORK VOICES, the popular commission series designed to help musicians make the leap from songwriting and performance to theatrical production. Washburn's new stage piece is about an American girl coming-of-age in a swiftly changing global order. Participants will include European directors Bojan Djordjev (Serbia/Croatia), Paul Knieriem (The Netherlands), Bastian Kraft (Germany), Ana Tomovic (Serbia) and U.S. based directors Anne Bogart, Meiyin Wang, John Jesurun and Charlotte Braithwaite.

This July, 40 of the nation's most prominent and promising writers, directors, and composers will be in residence at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in a new laboratory for collaboration. Today, the renowned nonprofit announced 13 selections for the inaugural summer lab at The Ground Floor, Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work. During an intense four-week period, dozens of artists will live, dine, create, and collaborate at the Theatre's new campus in West Berkeley.

The Playwrights Realm www.playwrightsrealm.org, under the leadership of Artistic Director Katherine Kovner, presents INK'D, a four-play reading series of works in development by its Writing Fellows, tonight, May 15, through Friday, May 18, at The Wild Project, 195 East 3rd Street. The free INK'D readings are at 7:00pm and are followed by a reception.
