Roundabout & Columbia University Will Team Up for Columbia@Roundabout

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Columbia University School of the Arts (Carol Becker, Dean of Faculty) have just announced Columbia@Roundabout, an initiative aimed at educating and developing the next generation of playwrights and theatre administrators, as both institutions celebrate their 50th anniversaries. No other collaborative partnership in the New York area brings together an esteemed Ivy League MFA program with a Tony Award- winning not-for-profit theatre. The initiative is made possible by a grant from the Tow Foundation.

Williamston Theatre Receives Grant for New Plays

The Williamston Theatre has been awarded a grant from the Dramatists Guild Fund (DGF). The grant will support two upcoming World Premieres that are being mounted as a part of the 2015-2016 Season, the Theatre's landmark tenth season.

Roundabout's 5th Annual Underground Reading Series to Feature New Works by Alexander Gemignani & More

Roundabout Theatre Company has confirmed the lineup for its fifth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series this morning, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as curtain speeches by Roundabout Underground artist alumni and post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Ben Steinfeld, Alexander Gemignani, Jireh Breon Holder, Sylvia Khoury, Martin Zimmerman and Jessica Moss.

Williamston Theatre to Stage TOO MUCH, TOO MUCH, TOO MANY, 1/28-2/28

Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, starts 2016 with Too Much, Too Much, Too Many by Meghan Kennedy.  Performances begin Thursday, January 28 and run through Sunday, February 28.  Tickets for this bittersweet yet touchingly funny drama go on sale Tuesday, January 28.

Roundabout Adds Two New Plays to Off-Broadway Season; Expands Underground Program

Following the unprecedented success of Stephen Karam (Roundabout Underground's inaugural playwright) and his Roundabout-commissioned play THE HUMANS moving to Broadway, Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the Underground will now produce two new works each season.  The program's expansion will begin in fall 2016 with the world premiere of Jenny Rachel Weiner's Kingdom Come.

Roundabout welcomes back Mamie Gummer, who made her New York stage debut in Roundabout's 2005 production of Mr. Marmalade. The world premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone opened off-Broadway last night, October 13, 2015 at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, November 22, 2015.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Adds Late-Night Cabaret, Fridays@3 Reading Series & More to 2015 Season

Williamstown Theatre Festival  has announced further programming and special events to join the 2015 summer season including: the legendary Late-Night Cabaret, the ever popular Fridays@3 Reading Series, and this summer's Developmental Workshop Series. Also announced are this year's Boris Sagal and Bill Foeller Directing Fellows: Dustin Wills and Adrienne Campbell-Holt.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the next Roundabout Underground production, the world premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Patricia McGregor. Ugly Lies the Bone, which was presented as part of last year's Underground Reading Series at Roundabout, is the first-ever recipient of a Special Citation of Excellence from The Laurents / Hatcher Foundation. The cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.
