Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) is pleased to announce the world premiere of On the Exhale, by Marti?n Zimmerman (Netflix's Narcos), directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman (Roundabout's Violet). Celebrated Tony Award nominee and Obie Award-winning actress Marin Ireland (reasons to be pretty) will star in this solo play. This is the second play in Roundabout Underground's newly expanded two-play season, following Kingdom Come by Jenny Rachel Weiner this fall.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has just announced the cast for the first new play of Roundabout Underground's newly expanded 2016-2017 season. The world-premiere production of Kingdom Come by Jenny Rachel Weiner will be directed by Kip Fagan, as part of Roundabout's 50th Anniversary Season, and will feature Brooke Bloom (Layne), Carmen M. Herlihy (Samantha Carlin), Alex Hernandez (Dominick Aquendo), Socorro Santiago (Delores Aquendo) and Stephanie Styles (Suz).

Written by up and coming playwright Meghan Kennedy, Too Much, Too Much, Too Many is a look at two women who are grieving the loss of a loved one. More than six months ago Rose (played by Mary Price Moore) lost her husband James (played by W. Scott Whisler) of more than 40 years. She locks herself in her bedroom and refuses to leave it. Her daughter Emma (played by Kelly Battcher) becomes her mother's caregiver and invites the local pastor (played by Felix Abador) to the house to talk to Rose.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Columbia University School of the Arts (Carol Becker, Dean of Faculty) have just announced Columbia@Roundabout, an initiative aimed at educating and developing the next generation of playwrights and theatre administrators, as both institutions celebrate their 50th anniversaries. No other collaborative partnership in the New York area brings together an esteemed Ivy League MFA program with a Tony Award- winning not-for-profit theatre. The initiative is made possible by a grant from the Tow Foundation.
Williamston Theatre Receives Grant for New Plays

Roundabout Theatre Company has confirmed the lineup for its fifth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series this morning, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as curtain speeches by Roundabout Underground artist alumni and post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Ben Steinfeld, Alexander Gemignani, Jireh Breon Holder, Sylvia Khoury, Martin Zimmerman and Jessica Moss.
