By popular demand, the Dixon Place HOT! Festival commission, THE MATERIAL WORLD, by Dan Fishback has been extended for two performances on August 1 & 2 at 8PM.

On August 19th, the band Sky-Pony will explode onto the stage of Joe's Pub like a herd of stampeding wild horses. They'll serve up a healthy dose of original tunes inspired in equal parts by indie-rock and good old-fashioned American Songbook balladry.

Sky-Pony serves up indie-rockwith theatrical flair and Broadway pedigree at Joe's Pub on August 19th.

Philadelphia Live Arts announces the launch of Jumpstart, a new series designed to identify new and emerging talent in the field of live performance. The series kicks off today, May 31 and runs through June 2 with a showcase of six artists performing original, completed works of 4-15 minutes each night. As part of the organization's expanding year-round programming at the Live Arts Studio, the program provides artists at earlier stages in their career the opportunity to show their work with the support of Live Arts' audiences and staff.
