Porpentine Theatre Co Presents THE TEMPEST 8/19

By:

Porpentine Theatre Company is presenting its inaugural production of THE TEMPEST starting August 19th at The Roof in Greenpoint, Brooklyn (242 Green St).

The outdoor production takes place on a Brooklyn rooftop overlooking the East River; a quiet summer roof-party undergoes a sea-change after sunset, becoming the island setting of Shakespeare's riotous and troubling fantasy of control.

Artistic Director and Founder Peter James Cook is a Drama League directing fellow; his work has been seen in New York at Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, The Brick Theatre, Dixon Place, and many others.

The cast includes Eric Gilde, Jacob Grigolia-Rosenbaum, Evan Joiner, Nina Kassa, Bethany Kay, Kobi Libii, Geoffrey Allen Murphy, Jason Quarles, Megan Stern, and Ben Vershbow.

The production has Costume Design by Mira Veikley, Lighting Design by Dante Olivia Smith, Fights by Jacob Grigolia-Rosenbaum, Graphic Design by Steven Tartick, and Casting by Ian Lowe. The Production Stage Manager is Michael Denis.
