Summit High School Leads Paper Mill Playhouse's 2014 Rising Star Nominations; Ceremony Set for Tonight

SHREK Begins 5/16 at Barn Theatre

The Barn Theatre of Montville, NJ will be presenting 'Shrek the Musical'. Performances will be on May 16, 23, 24, 30, 31, June 6 and 7 at 8pm; and on May 17, 18, 25, June 1 at 2pm. Tickets are $24 (senior/student tickets are $22 on matinees only).

Chicago Commercial Collective to Remount 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE with Original Off-Broadway Cast, 5/1-6/8

The hilarious send-up of 1950s cold war repression and kitsch culture, "5 Lesbians Eating Quiche" was an original critically-acclaimed creation by The New Colony. This remount featuring the original off-Broadway cast is presented by the Chicago Commercial Collective, running May 1 to June 8 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division Street. Tickets ($15 - $40) are on sale now.

Steppenwolf's GARAGE REP to Kick Off on Valentine's Day

Performances of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's fifth annual Garage Rep are scheduled to begin February 14, 2014, featuring The New Colony's world-premiere production of reWILDing Genius, Prologue Theatre Company's Chicago-premiere production of Saturday Night/Sunday Morning and Walkabout Theater Company's world-premiere production of The Wild. These innovative storefront companies perform in rotating repertory for ten weeks through April 20, 2013 (press performances are March 8 and 9, 2014). Performances are scheduled Wednesday through Sunday in the Garage Theater (1624 N Halsted St); a full performance schedule, including the line-up for Late Night @ Garage Rep, follows. 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE Transitions to Open-Ended Run on Weekends

5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, the explosive Off-Broadway play, has announced today that it will play a weekend of performances once a month at The SoHo Playhouse Mainstage (15 Vandam Street, NYC). Previously scheduled to play weekly performances through Sunday, January 6th, effective immediately the production is now playing four performances during the second weekend of each month beginning January 11, 2013. This monthly cycle will continue on the weekends of February 8th and March 8th. A closing date has not been announced.
