The new Broadway revival of On The Town, directed by John Rando and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse opened Thursday, Oct. 16 on Broadway to rave reviews at the Lyric (formerly Foxwoods) Theatre on Broadway. Earlier today, Ellen Hart of Ellen's Stardust Diner (1650 Broadway) hosted a reunion of real former Miss Subways- a position which Ellen herself once held. During that luncheon, ON THE TOWN's Megan Fairchild, who plays Ivy Smith or 'Miss Turnstiles' in the musical, was crowned as a new honorary Miss Subways. Following the luncheon, the former Miss Subways travelled down to the Lyric Theatre on 42nd street for a matinee of ON THE TOWN. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from inside the special event below!

NEW YORK, September 30, 2014 - The New York Dance and Performance Awards (The Bessies), NYC's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, announced today the host of the anniversary ceremony that is to be held at the legendary Apollo Theater. Broadway playwright, actress and 1993 Bessie awardee Lisa Kron will host the 30th Annual Bessie Awards. Produced in partnership with Dance/NYC, the awards will take place October 20, 7:30 p.m. Nominees will arrive starting 6:00 p.m. for Red Carpet press interviews and photo opportunities.
