Alexandra Theatre are new to the Perth theatre scene, and in the current climate, would have been forgiven for erring on the side of caution in their first production. Instead, they chose to begin with a bang, putting on Broadway classic The Producers- with a large cast and grand sets- for an audience delighted to be back at the theatre. 

While filming a virtual benefit for the York Theatre, Andre De Shields was surprised by two producers and a Senator.

The cast of “Cagney & Lacey” will reunite on “Stars In The House” on Wednesday, April 14 at 8pm ET. Sharon Gless (Christine Cagney), Tyne Daly (Mary Beth Lacey), and Martin Kove (Victor Isbecki), will come together to talk about their time on the beloved series, which became the quintessential show for, and about, working women. 

Senator Brad Hoylman surprised the Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner André De Shields with a Senate Proclamation on Thursday April 8th, 2021 proclaiming the day “André De Shields Appreciation Day”.
