ANRI SALA: ANSWER ME Opens Today at the New Museum

In February 2016, the New Museum will present a major exhibition of the work of Anri Sala, whose innovative and rigorous work has garnered critical acclaim. Though Sala has exhibited internationally since the late 1990s, 'Anri Sala: Answer Me' will mark his first solo presentation at a New York museum. The exhibition will be on view from today, February 3, through April 10, 2016.

Colorado Ballet Hosts ATTITUDE ON SANTE FE, 2/6

Colorado Ballet will host the second Attitude on Santa Fe at 6 p.m. on February 6, 2016 in the Black Box Theater at the Armstrong Center for Dance, 1075 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO.  The performance will include three ballets choreographed by two Colorado Ballet dancers and one Colorado Ballet Academy teacher, performed by Colorado Ballet Company and Studio Company dancers.  The event will also include a three course meal and wine prior to the performance.

The program features 'Overture to Karelia,' op. 10 by Jean Sibelius, Selections from 'Swan Lake' by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Selections from 'The Firebird' by Igor Stravinsky, and 'Pictures at an Exhibition' by Modest Mussorgsky/arr. Maurice Ravel.

Celebrating her 15th solo appearance at Carnegie Hall, classical pianist Katya Grineva presents an evening of holiday music and virtuoso romantic masterpieces for one night only, Today, December 26th at 8:00 p.m. The Russian native, whose dream it was to one day play at the iconic venue, is the first woman to perform as a soloist at Carnegie this many times. Known for her deep connetion to the Romantics, Katya mixes staples by Mozart and Chopin with various seasonal chestnuts. Performing works from her latest album A Classical Holiday, Katya showcases new arrangements of Christmas classics including Silent Night, Sleigh Ride, and My Favorite Things as well as traditional carols and pieces from The Nutcracker. (See below for complete program.)

The one-time-only recital will be presented Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at City Performance Hall (a 749-seat venue located at 2520 Flora Street in the Arts District, Dallas, TX 75201). Also featured at the exclusive event will be Jake Heggie, composer (Great Scott, Moby-Dick) and accomplished pianist, who has had a long-standing artistic collaboration with Miss von Stade.
