The cast of The York Theatre Company Musicals in Mufti presentation of DON'T BOTHER ME, I CAN'T COPE welcomed the great Maurice Hines, as well as original Broadway company members Ben Harney, Maria Thomas and George Faison, to performances over the weekend. Legendary jazz singer and lyricist Jon Hendricks, dubbed 'The Poet Laureate of Jazz,' celebrated jazz vocalist and actress Annie Ross, and acclaimed jazz singer Janis Siegel are among the artists who will be honored at the 31st Annual Bistro Awards gala tonight, March 8 at 6:30 pm at the Gotham Comedy Club, 208 W. 23rd St. As is the Bistro Awards tradition, the evening will feature performances by the winners.

MAURICE HINES TAPPIN' THRU LIFE is a swinging, song and dance musical that celebrates the astonishing showmanship of one of the last great tap dancers of a by-gone era still working today and whose collaborators were a jaw-dropping, who's who of theatre, music, film and television. Co-starring the fierce tap dancing Manzari brothers, John and Leo, and the all female vivacious Diva Jazz Orchestra, the show is directed by Jeff Calhoun. Performances began December 23rd at New World Stages (340 W. 50th Street), and opened January 11th. Last night, GOTTA DANCE stars Andre De Shields and Lillias White visited with Hines and the Manzari Brothers after the show. Check out the photos below.
