The fifth annual Blumenthal Performing Arts High School Musical Theater Awards culminated Sunday, May 22, at a gala award celebration where winners in 12 categories were announced and nominees for Best Actor, Best Actress and Wells Fargo Best Musical performed live on stage at the Belk Theater. Director of Development Maureen O'Boyle Feldman and Artistic Director Lewis Wilkenfeld proudly announce Cabrillo Music Theatre's first-ever Annual Campaign. Dubbed the CABRILLO CORNERSTONE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN, this drive will roll out over the next three months, culminating in a grand concert fundraiser that will become the 'place to be' for entertainment and support for the community. Along the way will be numerous events surrounding Cabrillo's summer production of OKLAHOMA!, plus the return of one of Cabrillo's most popular and successful events, the Cabrillo Dance Marathon. The CABRILLO CORNERSTONE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN takes place at various locations in Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas between now and August 29th, 2015.

Cabrillo Music Theatre is proud to announce the newest member of the Cabrillo Family, as Maureen O'Boyle Feldman joins the team to serve as Director of Development. Ms. Feldman will oversee fundraising and sponsorship for Cabrillo Music Theatre, and will report directly to Cabrillo's Board of Directors.

As an actor and a theater student, I take pride in the work of the theater department in my school. I went to the Blumey Awards this year, and I saw many students from schools all over Charlotte, who showed the same enthusiasm and love for theater. The Blumey Awards presented by Wells Fargo, is a great award event to showcase the talent and hard work put forth into each high school musical. This show was created by Tom Gabbard, President of Blumenthal Performing Arts, produced and co-directed by Ralph Beck, Education Director of Blumenthal Performing Arts and Michelle Youngs, Education Program Manager of Blumenthal Performing Arts. They did an outstanding job.

MAIEUTIC THEATRE WORKS is pleased to announce the world premiere of Jacqueline Goldfinger's THE OATH directed by MTWorks Executive Director, Cristina Alicea. THE OATH plays a three-week limited engagement at The ArcLight Theatre (152 W 71st St). Performances begin Thursday, April 23rd and continue through Sunday, May 10th.
