Should Timothy Cratchit -- Tiny Tim of Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol -- be one of those characters who just vanishes after being a one-book wonder? Playwright Allan Knee thinks not.

The Off-Broadway premiere of Jerry Mayer's new comedy, 2 Across, will begin a open-ended engagement on Saturday November 14th at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). Emmy Award nominee Evelyn Rudie ('Eloise') directs a cast that stars Andrea McArdle and Kip Gilman. Opening Night is set for December 9th.

George Street Playhouse announced today that due to an unforeseen illness, award-winning vocalist MAUREEN McGOVERN has been placed under a doctor's care and will not be appearing at the New Brunswick theatre on Wednesday, September 16, as previously announced. The performance will not be rescheduled.

Singer Pat Whiteman returns with a brand new show entitled “A Whiteman Sampler” Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Gardenia in West Hollywood. Jason Graae, who directed her SRO show “The Mood I'm In” four years ago at the Gardenia is back directing again and this time John Boswell serves as music director. 

George Street Playhouse announced today that award-winning vocalist MAUREEN McGOVERN will make a special appearance at the New Brunswick theatre on Wednesday, September 16 at 8pm.  Joined on stage by her music director JEFF HARRIS, Ms. McGovern will offer selections from her newest show and upcoming CD, Sing, My Sisters, Sing!

Broadway performer, Julie Pappas Smith, a North Shore native, returns to the Marblehead School of Ballet (MSB) in Marblehead, Massachusetts this summer to teach two master classes, floor-barre and musical theatre jazz.  Originally from Swampscott, Massachusetts, Pappas Smith began her professional training at MSB.

The performance features boy soprano Jack Rigdon and the 150 member Richmond Symphony Chorus with Director Erin R. Freeman. This is the final Altria Masterworks Concert of the 2014-15 Season and will be led by Music Director, Steven Smith.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces a one night only performance of Broadway Showstoppers featuring award-winning performing artists Mandy Gonzalez, Cady Huffman, Telly Leung and Alton Fitzgerald White will take place on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., Cabaret at Theater Square, 655 Penn Avenue, in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. The TRUST Cabaret Series is presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and provides a unique and intimate opportunity for audiences to experience the finest cabaret acts in the entertainment industry. The evening will include these four talented Broadway stars singing songs on their repertoire from shows in which they have performed. Fun Home, the Award-winning new musical that began previews on Broadway on March 27, announced today that an updated and expanded Broadway version of the cast recording will be released next month on PS Classics.

Food is a prism to look into love and sex, conflict and life in the six short plays of 'A la Carte: a Feast of New Plays,' to be presented by WorkShop Theater Company, 312 West 36th Street, from tonight, April 9 to May 2. Short works of various genres by Allan Knee, Dana Leslie Goldstein, Laurie Graff, Laura Hirschberg, Gary Giovanetti and Scott C. Sickles will be presented. Leslie Kincaid Burby directs the entire evening.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that PS Classics will record the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY on Monday, March 23, 2015. This new Broadway Cast Recording will be released on May 19, 2015. The production is currently playing at the American Airlines Theatre through July 5, 2015.
