Maureen McGovern, who is currently starring on Broadway in Little Women: The Musical, will lend her 'Stradivarius Voice' to a worthy cause in One Enchanted Evening, a special one-night-only benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Presented by R/J Productions in cooperation with Jim Caruso and TheaterMania.com, the concert will be at Birdland (315 West 44th Street) on Monday, April 11 at 9 PM. Jeff Harris will be McGovern's Musical Director for the concert.

BC/EFA's Nothing Like A Dame 2005 Raises $300,000

Nothing Like A Dame 2005, presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, has raised a total of $300,000 for the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative of The Actors' Fund of America. This year, that amount includes a generous $50,000 gift of support from an anonymous donor. Nothing Like A Dame, an evening of performances from the leading ladies of Broadway, celebrated its 10th anniversary this year; the annual event has raised over $1,600,000 since 1995. Last year's Nothing Like A Dame raised $250,000.

Franc D'Ambrosio, who starred in the title role of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award winning musical The Phantom of the Opera for over six years, has just completed a special musical guest star appearance on the NBC Network special Brian Boitano's Skating Spectacular which first aired January 1, 2005 and has been scheduled for rebroadcast on January 29, 2005, 2:00 - 4:00 pm EST. In promotion of the special (preceding its first airing), Brian Boitano chose to perform to D'Ambrosio's extraordinary vocal rendition of 'What Kind of Fool Am I?' on The Today Show in late December, 2004.
