In celebration of its seventh anniversary, Israeli Stage presents the American premiere of Renana Raz's theatrical event. The staged reading by Nael Nacer, Maureen Keiller, Melinda Lopez, and Lonnie Farmer explores the basic question of freedom of speech as it pertains to an educational setting. Last weekend I visited one of my friends in the great theatre town of Boston; while there I got to see an exciting new play that by rights should be produced here in the Washington area, and soon. A new playwright, Leo McGann, born and raised in Belfast, has written 'The Honey Trap' and it is a work as mature and necessary as any I have seen--and over the years I've seen quite a lot.
Belfast native playwright Leo McGann and Director Adam Kassim have crafted a ready-for-prime-time taut, suspenseful drama about memories and guilt decades after the Troubles in Ireland. The cast is anchored by Boston theater pros Barlow Adamson and Maureen Keiller, along with an eager quartet of Boston University acting students. THE HONEY TRAP has universal appeal as it follows the journey of a troubled man.
Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) continues its 2016-17 season with The Honey Trap by Leo McGann. Running from February 16-26, this new drama is directed by Adam Kassim.

FAITHLESS is an intimate study of a Boston Irish-Catholic family facing a crisis. Mom is dying, but the adult children have different beliefs, resulting in a debate about her fate and a rehashing of family history before any resolution is possible. Sitting in a hospital waiting room with these four actors, the audience recognizes these people and understands what they're going through. Can they find closure and rebuild lost connections?
Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) continues its 2016-17 season with Faithless by Andrew Joseph Clarke. Running from December 8-18, this new drama is directed by Stephen Pick.
