As Ghost The Musical enters its second year, over 250,000 new tickets go on sale today (28 March 2012) taking bookings at the Piccadilly Theatre to 20 April 2013. Having been seen by over 400,000 people, Ghost The Musical is now also playing on Broadway, with further productions planned for Holland in September 2012, Australia and Germany in 2013 and Korea in 2014.

GHOST: THE MUSICAL is created by a team of Grammy and Academy Award winners, with a brand-new original score by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, with a book by Bruce Joel Rubin, who has adapted his Academy Award winning original screenplay for the stage. This brand new score also includes the iconic song "Unchained Melody," famously performed in the film by The Righteous Brothers.

Matilda the Musical, produced by the RSC and running at the Cambridge Theatre, leads the way with ten nominations - the maximum number of eligible awards for a musical this year. These notably include a collective nomination for Best Actress for all four young actresses who play the title role. Amongst other musical theatre productions Ghost The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre and the National Theatre's London Road have five and four nominations respectively.
GHOST: THE MUSICAL is opening for previews tonight at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The show is a huge hit in London, and the producers have promised an even more spectacular evening for Broadway audiences.
Ghost The Musical announced today that a limited number of $25 tickets in the first and second rows of the Orchestra will be available through a lottery drawing for each performance beginning with the first preview on Thursday, March 15th. The lottery will open two and a half hours prior to each performance. The drawing will take place two hours prior to curtain giving all participants 30 minutes to enter the lottery. There is a limit of one entry per person, and two tickets per winner. Ghost The Musical lottery winners must be present at the time of the drawing and valid identification must be shown to purchase tickets. Only cash will be accepted to purchase lottery tickets. All winning entries will be checked for duplication and disqualified if more than one entry was submitted. Lottery tickets are subject to availability and will not be available on Ghost The Musical's Opening Night, April 23, 2012.

GHOST THE MUSICAL, now entering its second year in the West End, will be releasing over 250,000 new tickets for sale next month, on March 28, taking bookings at the Piccadilly Theatre to April 20, 2013. The musical has now been seen by over 350,000 people.
At the Whats On Stage audience awards, Ghost the Musical's Richard Fleeshman just won 'Best Actor in a Musical' for Ghost. Talking to press after winning, Fleeshman talked about changes to the show that have been made for the currently rehearsing Broadway production, noting that 'We've made it more focused. Some of the illusions have gotten even more incredible and the cast is bigger. It's been very exciting.'
The show transfered to London's West End and opened November 24 to tremendous critical acclaim. Today, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the show is now aiming to open on Broadway in the Spring of 2013, produced by the RSC themselves and overseen by Andre Ptaszynski, who formerly ran Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Really Useful Group.
