AF PRODUCTIONS presents the world premiere production of Anna Fishbeyn's SEX IN MOMMYVILLE, directed by Sane Shurin. SEX IN MOMMYVILLE will play a limited engagement at The Flea (41 White Street, TriBeCa). Performances begin Wednesday, August 18 and continue thru Sunday, August 29. Opening Night is Friday, August 20 (7 p.m.).
On Sunday, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone hosted the ceremony, which honored the best of Broadway and off in the 2009-2010 season. MSG Entertainment and the Garden of Dreams Foundation celebrated the Sixth Annual Spring Talent Show: 'City of Dreams' on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall last night on April 28. Special hosts included Whoopi Goldberg, Darryl 'D.M.C.' McDaniels, Mike Dameski who is currently starring as Billy Elliot from Broadway's BILLY ELLIOT, Matthew Modine, Radio City Rockettes and MSG Network Knicks reporter Jill Martin. The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden to 'make dreams come true for children in crisis.' This year's show will feature a variety of individual and group performances, including dancing, singing and instrumental acts. The NYC-themed event will also present an inspiring opening and finale act showcasing all the participating children. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the event.
