PIPPIN - the New Broadway Cast Recording from Ghostlight Records - debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Cast Albums chart the week after its June 4 digital release. It also hit #34 on the Digital Albums Chart and #92 on the Billboard Top 200.

The producers of the recently crowned 2013 Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical PIPPIN are pleased to announce that a new block of tickets have gone on sale and seats are now available for purchase through January 5, 2014. PIPPIN, now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street), also took Tony Awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Patina Miller), Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Andrea Martin) and Best Direction of a Musical (Diane Paulus).

More glamour, more fashion, more drama! The 2013 Tony Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, are underway! The ceremony is being broadcast tonight, June 9th, in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall, on the CBS television network.

PIPPIN has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The production has received 4 Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Director of a Musical (Diane Paulus),Outstanding Choreography (Chet Walker & Gypsy Snider) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Andrea Martin).

With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), and a book by Roger O. Hirson, Pippin is the classic story, loosely based on historical figures, about a prince (Pippin) and his journey to find meaning and his self-identity. Pippin is the 31st longest running show on Broadway, and after 40 years of not being on the stage it has been revived to critical acclaim. The revival directed by Diana Paulus (Hair) has nabbed 10 Tony nominations.

The Tony-nominated new Broadway production of PIPPIN has broken the house record for the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) for the third week in a row, grossing $934,760 over eight performances for the week ending May 26, 2013.

One Chekhovian country house exits the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater and a new Chekhovian country house enters.  But Richard Nelson's Nikolai and the Others, enjoying an elegant staging by director David Cromer, is a more sober-minded effort than the venue's last tenant, Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike.
