The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre will be kicking off its 20th Anniversary Platinum Season on January 17th when the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic, The Sound of Music, returns to the theatre. It will be the first show in a blockbuster line-up in a year that will celebrate Way Off Broadway's two decades of bringing live theatre to the stage.

The Christmas season will once again arrive at The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre bringing with it an original holiday production, Mr. Claus. The show will be the conclusion to Way Off Broadway's 2013 "Broadway Meets Hollywood" Season that included Steel Magnolias, Dolly Parton' 9 to 5: The Musical, Legally Blonde, and Sunset Boulevard.

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol has become a staple of the holiday season. Over the years, there have been countless adaptations of the writer's classic story with a number of celebrities playing the miserly Scrooge (or a variation of the character) from Kelsey Grammer and Michael Caine to George C. Scott and Albert Finney to Vanessa Williams and Susan Lucci.

Following its 2013 Season-opener, Steel Magnolias, Way Off Broadway will produce the regional theatre premiere of the musical comedy 9 to 5 beginning March 22nd.

One of the goals of The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has always been to provide entertainment for all ages. That is why, alongside the theatre's Mainstage season which features Broadway style productions, it launched the Children's Theatre in 1996. Since then, the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway has brought all of the most popular children's fairytales and stories to life on the stage. From productions of Jack and the Beanstalk and Dora the Explorer Live! to The Three Little Pigs and Disney's 101 Dalmatians, Way Off Broadway has been the home to some of the most well known children's characters of all time.

The holidays are always the busiest time at The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre. Over the years, some of the most popular shows at the theatre have been its Christmas productions. From Frosty the Snow Man to Santa's elves to the furry characters from the children's book Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree, they have all helped to celebrate the joy of the season in the Children's Theatre at one time or another.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is cutting loose this summer with the dance musical Footloose. The stage production, based on the Paramount Pictures film, opens at the Frederick theatre tonight, June 15th and run through August 25th.

The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre's production of THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY runs through July 14th with performances every Saturday afternoon and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, with select added weekdays. See photos from the production below!

The limited engagement will be at The Way Off Broadway Theatre in the Willowtree Plaza off the Golden Mile (Route 40 West) in Frederick, Maryland with performances Thursday evening, May 24, Friday, evening May 25, and Saturday evening, May 26, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and must be purchased with cash or check. Following The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre's sold out run of Pinkalicious - The Musical, which opened the theatre's 2012 Season, another children's character is getting ready to move into Way Off Broadway for the spring and summer.
