The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 2013 Season is the year Broadway and Hollywood meet with all of the productions at the theatre being hits both on the silver screen and New York stage. Following its 2013 Season-opener, Steel Magnolias, Way Off Broadway will produce the regional theatre premiere of the musical comedy 9 to 5 beginning March 22nd.

9 to 5 - The Musical is a hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era. Based on the hit 20th Century Fox motion picture starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin, 9 to 5 tells the story of three unlikely friends who conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do -- even in a man's world. Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, 9 to 5 is about teaming up and taking care of business. It's about getting credit and getting even.

9 to 5 burst onto the screen in 1980 with a cast starring Jane Fonda as Judy, Dolly Parton as Doralee, Lily Tomlin as Violet, and Dabney Coleman as Franklin Hart. The movie was a hit with audiences and is still one of the highest grossing comedy films of all times and is on the American Film Institute's top "100 Funniest Movies" list. The movie's theme song, "9 to 5," became one of Parton's biggest hits and held the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks and won two Grammy Awards.

In 2009, 9 to 5 - The Musical made it to Broadway playing at the Marquis Theatre with a star-studded cast including Allison Janney as Violet, Megan Hilty as Doralee, Stephanie J. Block as Judy, and Marc Kudisch as Franklin Hart.

Way Off Broadway's cast is led by Jessica Billones as Violet, the company's strong and ambition head secretary and single mother; Jaimie Lea Kiska as Doralee, Mr. Hart's sexy southern spitfire of a secretary; and introduces Whitney Warrenfeltz to Frederick
audiences as Judy, the "new girl" just out of a marriage with no work experience whatsoever to speak of. Also in the cast are Alexandra Garcia Guyker as Roz, the office busy-body, and Bill Kiska and Jordan B. Stocksdale alternating the role of Franklin Hart, the company's chauvinist, arrogant, and self-absorbed boss.

Also in the cast, bringing the office workers and other characters to life in the production are Jordan C. Allen, Rebekah Anderson, Chelsea Bondarenko, Sam Buchanan, Matthew Crawford, Ryan Patrick Kane, Joseph Waeyaert, and Amanda Williams.

9 to 5 has music and lyrics by country superstar Dolly Parton and a book by the co-author of the film, Patricia Resnick. Way Off Broadway's production will run from March 22 - June 1, 2013 and is be directed by Justin M. Kiska, with choreography by Dee Buchanan and music direction by Jordan B. Stocksdale.
