For its 7th consecutive year Chris Isaacson presents brought Upright Cabaret's popular A Broadway Christmas to the Catalina Jazz Club for two performances on Tuesday December 11. Featuring an all-star cast of prolific singers, dancers and musicians A Broadway Christmas celebrates the talent of Broadway with the music of the holiday season. Tony and Emmy Award winner Lillias White was the special guest along with American Idol's David Hernandez serving as co-host with producer Isaacson. With colorful holiday projections, designed by Tim Hicks, playing continuously on two video screens to the left and right of the stage and a terrific four-piece orchestra: Matt Lucich on drums, Alex Balderston on bass, Wesley Smith on sax/flute and musical director Jamieson Trotter at the piano, the sights and sounds of Christmas rang out fervently for a dynamite two-hour set.

On June 17, 2012, Chris Isaacson presented the 3rd year Season Finale of Upright Cabaret's American Icon Series with VIVA LAS VEGAS - a presentation of personality and pop that honors the flashiest performers of all time: Elvis Presley, Cher & Elton John!

Last night The Annenberg Theatre played host to Chris Isaacson's Upright Cabaret and the latest installment of his American Icon Series, RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT, which plays tribute to the Latin pop-rock music made famous by Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Santana and more. There were many things to love about this upscale Cabaret production! To start - the incredible talents of three of Broadway and Television's hottest talents - Lesli Margherita, Rogelio Douglas Jr. and Lexi Lawson. I have played audience to each of the three of them as they starred in various theatrical productions and it was a pleasure to share the evening with them in this unique genre. Since there is a bit of criticism to follow, let me start by saying I am a big fan of Upright Cabaret and would urge you to go to any of their productions at a venue near you. Fortunately for those near La Mirada, Thousand Oaks or Hollywood, you still have the chance to see this high quality production. And, if you don't have tickets yet I would say find a way to get them! There are many theatrical events in Southern California that promise an evening worthy of your time and your hard earned money --- Upright Cabaret delivers!

Truly great pop singers are a rarity these days, singers of the calibre of Elton John, Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder - all idols of Matt Zarley. No wonder Zarley turned out so good! He has an easy-going, warm style onstage that pulls you in and holds you tight. Like his grandma's idol Elvis, he becomes our 'Teddy Bear' possessing on the inside such a heartfelt and winning spirit!

On Friday, July 24 Broadway and Wicked star Eden Espinosa made a triumphant return to Los Angeles with her pop/rock concert entitled 'ME' which was directed by Billy Porter with Music Direction by Christopher Lloyd Bratten. The nearly sold-out audience was treated to a dazzling array of song selections which included highlights like the Tina Turner hit 'River Deep, Mountain High,' Cyndi Lauper's 'I'm Gonna Be Strong,' Dolly Parton's 'Here You Come Again,'...

This past weekend, Broadway and recording star Billy Porter brought his new hit one man show 'The Standard' to Upright Cabaret at Mark's Restaurant for two sold-out SRO engagements. Upright Cabaret producers Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel in association with Lenny Beer and Suzi Dietz proudly presented Porter to Los Angeles audiences, with those in attendance including Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and 'Dreamgirls' film director Bill Condon.

L.A.'s famed Upright Cabaret kicked off their 2nd Season of star-studded poolside concert events at the new Ace Hotel & Swim Club with two sold out evenings with the stars under the stars!
