Photo Coverage: Upright Cabaret's COUNTRY ROADS concert at La Mirada Theatre
On Sunday, July 11, 2010 - La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and Upright Cabaret presented their fifth and final 'American Icon Series' concert for the 2009/2010 season to a over-capacity crowd which included La Mirada City Mayor Pete Dames and Barry Manilow's writing partner Marty Panzer.
Entitled "Country Roads," the evening celebrated the Music of Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and featured the vocal talents of Former Miss Anaheim Jill Burke (LA Weekly Award winner, Ovation Award Nominee), Doug Carpenter (Life Could Be A Dream) and vocal acrobat Jason Paige (Joe's Garage) who replaced previously announced Brenna Whitaker who called out days before the concert due to vocal strain. This one night only concert event was Music Directed by Gerald Sternbach and supported by Nick Perez (guitar) and Matt Lucich (percussion). Produced by Chris Isaacson.
Upright Cabaret will return to the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts in Nov 2010 to kick-off their second season of the very popular "American Icon Series."
