A film adaptation of Cy Coleman's CITY OF ANGELS is headed to the screen, to be helmed by Director Barry Levinson ('Wag the Dog', 'Good Morning, Vietnam'). The picture is one of many new projects to be produced by new company Unique Features, headed by former New Line Films principals Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, Variety reported today.

The West Side YMCA Writer's Voice today announced that actor Austin Pendleton (HBO's Oz, voice of Gurgle in Finding Nemo, The Diary of Anne Frank, Grand Hotel, Goodtime Charley, The Little Foxes, Fiddler on the Roof, and Up from Paradise) will play the lead role in a staged reading of Charlie Schulman's latest play: The Great Man. Theatre Works production of Stephen Karam's hot new play, 'Speech & Debate'. She joins previously announced cast members Andrea Bowen ('Desperate Housewives', 'Les Miserables'), Gideon Glick (Broadway's 'Spring Awakening', Off Broadway's 'Speech & Debate') and Bobby Steggert (Outer Critics Circle nominee for Broadway's '110 in the Shade').

Masked, which played six months Off-Broadway this season, will receive an industry presentation in Los Angeles on Monday, March 10.
