GRINCH National Tour Opens In Omaha 11/9

Big League Productions (Dan Sher, producer) is proud to announce that Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! The Musical, the critically acclaimed, record-breaking Broadway production, will celebrate its 5th season of performances by traveling North America this year. Its Broadway Premier was in 2006 at the Hilton (now Foxwood's) Theatre. Hundreds of thousands of families have been delighted by this heart-warming musical, which The New York Times praised as "100 times better than any bedside story". This year's schedule includes:

Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! The Musical features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated series. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small", decides to steal Christmas away from Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, while the Music and Book of Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas.

The amazing cast is lead by STEFAN KARL, star of Nickelodeon's LazyTown (Robbie Rotten), as the Grinch. Last year The Hollywood Reporter called his performance "A Grinch for the Ages...inescapable good humor, mind-boggling antics, breathtaking makeup and great costume". The cast also features Seth Bazacas, Brooke Lynn Boyd, Serena Brook, Brance Cornelius, Ariana Gibb, Ryan Knowles, Ginnie Lee House, Rebecca Prescott, Bob Lauder and Carly Tamer and includes Jenavene Bazacas, Andrew Boetcher, Matt David, Matt Densky, Lauren Devine, Katie Emerson, Kyle Garvin, Willow Grey, Emily Grosland, Jackie Nguyen, Domonique Paton, David Thornton, Lily Tobin, and Jennifer Wilcove.

Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! The Musical is based on the original book written by Dr. Seuss and is Conceived and Supervised by three-time Tony Award® winner, Jack O' Brien. It is Directed by Matt August and Choreographed by Bob Richard with Original Choreography by John DeLuca. Book and lyrics are by Timothy Mason with music by Mel Marvin and additional music and lyrics by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss. The Associate Producer is Audrey Geisel. The production features scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Robert Morgan, lighting design by Pat Collins and Lauren Phillips, and orchestrations by Michael Starobin. Sound design is by Colle Bustin and Michael Viveros. The tour is booked exclusively by Avid Touring Group Ltd (L. Glenn Poppleton).
