The Drama League has just announced the 2021 Nominees and Special Recognition Honorees for The 87th Annual Drama League Awards. Keeping in the tradition of honoring the outstanding accomplishments of the theatrical community, as they have since 1935, this year the organization has established five unique categories to honor the extraordinary achievements of artists across the nation who created digital and socially-distanced theatrical productions during this challenging year of suspension for live arts.

Today, Target ALS has announced a one-night only streaming concert honoring the life of famed Broadway star Rebecca Luker. Diagnosed with ALS in late 2019, Luker passed away in December 2020. The show will feature stories and songs from Luker’s career, performed by Broadway’s best-known talent, and will raise much-needed funds for ALS research.
Kristin Chenoweth announced today that her Broadway Bootcamp will happen this year, June 6-13, in a unique virtual edition! The week long annual session will be held for students completing grades 8-12 in the 2020-2021 school year.

It was Produced and Conceived by Mike Karns and Steven Tartick, Directed by Raúl Esparza and Music Directed by Mary-Mitchell Campbell. The Music was Produced by Benedict Braxton-Smit, with Vocals by Sierra Boggess and Raul Esparza.
ASTEP announced it has received a $25,000 commitment from the Seller-Lehrer Family Foundation towards year-end arts during COVID-19. ASTEP is a non-profit organization founded by Broadway musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell and students at Juilliard who sought to transform the lives of youth using the most powerful tool they had — their art.
