IN A SEA OF FACES: A New Folk Opera by Jahn Sood will be presented at Cloud City, an alternative arts space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 85 N. 1st St, running September 15-22, 2016. The piece is made up of folk songs and movement and is a celebration of oral tradition, family and life near the ocean.

Prospect Theater Company is pleased to announce additional cast members for its 2015 annual gala, a Concert Evening Celebrating Women Making Musicals. This special one-night-only event will be held at The Times Center today, May 16 with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway and Prospect stars. The evening's program includes a diverse array of songs written or co-written by women, including encores of work from Prospect productions. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Prospect's ongoing mission to develop and produce new musical theater works by emerging artists.

On October 20, 2014, Florence Lacey (Broadway's Follies, Evita and Signature's Sunset Boulevard), Megan Lawrence (Broadway's Hair and Signature's Cabaret), Jacquelyn Piro Donovan (Broadway's Les Miserables and Signature's The Witches of Eastwick), Natascia Diaz (Broadway's Man of La Mancha and Signature's The Threepenny Opera) and Nick Blaemire (Broadway's Godspell and Signature's Glory Days) performed alongside 75 Signature Theatre artists and an 18-piece orchestra as Virginia's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre celebrated its 25th Anniversary. With performances from 27 shows over the last 25 years, including Sweeney Todd, The Rhythm Club, Urinetown, The Boy Detective Fails, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Dreamgirls, Chess, and many more. YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release the world premiere recording of the acclaimed new musical TAMAR OF THE RIVER on September 23, 2014. The album is currently available for pre-order at iTunes and Amazon.com. TAMAR OF THE RIVER features music by Marisa Michelson and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen and was directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell), with choreography by Chase Brock (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Picnic). The show was nominated for two 2014 Drama Desk Awards, including "Outstanding Actress in a Musical" for Margo Seibert, who made her Broadway debut last season as Adrian in Rocky.
