This Saturday, May 22, Laura Bell Bundy is scheduled to make her debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. However, due to the recent Tennessee floods, Bundy's debut will take place at a temporary venue --- The War Memorial Auditorium. The Auditorium is one of the three alternate sites being used during the ongoing flood renovations.

Known for both his traditional style, and eclectic combination of rockabilly, honky tonk, and country music, American country music singer and Grammy Award-winning icon Marty Stuart is considered one of the genre's most historically minded 'new' traditionalists. He is an accomplished artist, performer, producer, writer, and photo-journalist, and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992. He remains a vocal supporter of traditional country music, an astute photographer of legendary country performers and a constant collector of country-related artifacts, including the world-famous Nudie suits made popular by Roy Rogers and Elvis Presley.

The Sheldon is proud to announce the 2009 - 2010 season of outstanding concerts in the intimate and acoustically perfect Sheldon Concert Hall. As usual, the season includes five series - Jazz at The Sheldon, Fantastic Folk, Sheldon Classics, Saturday Matinees, and Coffee Concerts, as well as Special Concerts and educational programming - all available starting May 13 at 10 a.m.

From her early days sharing lead vocals with her groundbreaking family group, The Staple Singers, to her powerful solo recordings, Mavis Staples is an inspirational force in modern popular culture and music. Her last appearance at Massey Hall was with the Blind Boys of Alabama in December of 2004. This concert marks the debut of James Hunter.

2008 Delta Classic Chastain series performers include Melissa Etheridge, Soul Asylum, The Temptations and The Four Tops, Gipsy Kings, Hootie & the Blowfish and many more (see full lineup below). The latest performer additions to the 35th anniversary lineup are country music superstar Trace Adkins, Tony Award-winning actress, singer and songwriter Idina Menzel, and the 'Kickin' Pickin' Bluegrass Party' featuring Marty Stuart and the Del McCoury Band.
