Teenie Harris, Photographer: An American Story exhibit, a groundbreaking retrospective of works by African American photographer Charles 'Teenie' Harris (1908-1998), opens Thursday at the Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library. On loan from Pittsburgh's Carnegie Museum of Art, the exhibit is making its premiere in the South and is sponsored by PNC Bank.
For the St. Olaf Choir and Conductor Anton Armstrong, national tours are a long-
standing winter tradition, and early 2013 they will present 11 concerts on the West Coast starting at Seattle's Benaroya Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 30, followed by three concerts in Oregon, five in California and two in Arizona … concluding in Tucson on Monday, Feb. 11. The tour also includes performances closer to home: Sioux Falls, S.D., Saturday, Jan. 26; Mason City, Iowa, Sunday, Jan. 27; and Stillwater, Minn., Saturday, Feb. 16.

This unique piece will be a combination of lecture and performance, as McNeal shares her story of female African American jazz singers and performs selections of their music. Reanae will perform in the Alabama Power Recital Hall at Shelton State Community College's Martin Campus.

Red Light Winter previews at the Kitchen Theatre Company on February 22, 23, and 24 and opens on Saturday, February 25. It runs for three weeks, closing March 11, 2012.
