Celebrity Autobiography to Feature Cantone, Donovan, Tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, & More 4/11

The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner and 2010 Bistro Award winner Celebrity Autobiography performs Monday, April 11 at 9:00pm at New York's Triad Theater, 158 West 72 Street, with a cast that is scheduled to include Mario Cantone, Tate Donovan, Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, Marsha Mason, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, and Alan Zweibel. The evening will feature a special tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, who is a central character in one of Celebrity Autobiography's signature pieces.

When Suzanna decides to set her best friend Max up on a blind date with her husband's mysterious co-worker, Becky Shaw, she sets into motion a series of cataclysmic events forever changing all of their lives. Celebrated actress and two-time Tony Award-winner Frances Sternhagen will be joining the confluence of artists and audiences for Florida Stage's 5th Annual 1st Stage New Works Festival. Ms. Sternhagen will be featured in a staged reading of legendary playwright Israel Horovitz' new play Beverley on Saturday, February 5, 2011. On Friday, February 4, in place of the Festival's usual Keynote speech, Ms. Sternhagen will take part in what is being called 'A Conversation with Frances Sternhagen.' Florida Stage Producing Director Louis Tyrrell will conduct a public interview with Sternhagen on stage in the Persson Hall at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The Florida Stage 1st Stage New Works Festival takes place February 3-6, 2011. The child's quiet letter of complaint shakes St. Nick to the soul as he recalls his fearful youth during the middle ages (when homosexuals were torn to pieces) and regrets the promotional deals he made with Coca-Cola that force him to stay in the closet. Santa Claus Is Coming Out, a theatrical mock-u-mentary by Jeffrey Solomon, reveals the secret romantic life of the beloved childhood icon and the scandal that rocks the world when the truth leaks out.
