RedBull Theater Presents THE SHOEMAKER'S HOLIDAY, et al.

By:

THE SHOEMAKER'S HOLIDAY by Thomas Dekker will be presented Monday November 28 at 7:30pm.

This sweet-natured comedy about Elizabethan life by one of the authors of Witch of Edmonton is a romantic delight.

THE SHOEMAKER'S HOLIDAY is directed by Everett Quinton. It
features Roberta Maxwell, André De Shields, and Sam Tsoutsouvas. There will be a post-play Bull Session with Jean Howard.

TRAVESTIES OF SHAKESPEARE, a talk by John Wolfson, will be presented Monday December 5 at 7:30pm.

Travesties of Shakespeare's plays were popular entertainment in Victorian England. Initially written as satires on the first "critical editions" of Shakespeare's plays, they were then produced on the stage. John Wolfson, Curator of Rare Books for London's Globe Theatre, traces the development of the Travesty.

TRAVESTIES OF SHAKESPEARE will feature scenes with Randy Harrison and John Douglas Thompson.

THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR by Nikolai Gogol will be presented Monday, December 26 at 7:30pm.

A brilliant satire of Russian provincial bureaucracy offers a riotous portrait of rampaging self-delusion. THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR features Marsha Mason and Derek Smith.

Tickets & Reservations can be made at www.redbulltheater.com or by calling 212.352.3101
