32 Actors, 8 Writers, and 8 Directors will gather at Abingdon Theatre Company for an entire weekend of pure creativity to produce FETE 24.

The University of Alabama Theatre & Dance just announced that -- in association with Tony Award-winning producer Margot Astrachan -- it will present the world premiere of the new Broadway-bound musical THE COUNTESS OF STORYVILLE.

Abingdon Theatre Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tony Speciale, has added two performances to its world-premiere run of A ROOM OF MY OWN, written and directed by Charles Messina, on Sundays, February 21 and March 13 at 7pm. Off-Broadway previews are set to begin Saturday, February 13 in the June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Opening night is set for Thursday, February 25, with performances through Sunday, March 13.

?Abingdon Theatre Company, in collaboration with The Muse Project, will present STET, a new play inspired by true events, written by Kim Davies and conceived by Kim Davies, Jocelyn Kuritsky and Artistic Director Tony Speciale. A limited Off-Broadway engagement will begin previews in June, as part of Abingdon's 2015-2016 Season. Tony Speciale is set to direct the world-premiere production, which marks his inaugural programming as Artistic Director.

Edward Hibbert, currently starring in the completely original new musical comedy Something Rotten!, will return to Feinstein's/54 Below for the first time in two years on Sunday, February 21 at 7:00pm with his smart and sassy show, "Can't Something Be Done?", following sold-out past concerts and his starring role in It Shoulda Been You this past summer.

Richard Jay-Alexander, best known for directing Barbra Streisand and other artists in concert, directed the event, honoring Tony Award-winning costume designer Jane Greenwood, who designed Abingdon's acclaimed production of Hellman v. McCarthy; Abingdon Theatre Company's Vice Chair and former Managing Director, Heather Henderson; and one of New York's most prominent lawyers in entertainment, Mark Sendroff.

The Countess of Storyville, a new original American musical, will be performed at an invitation only developmental lab on October 22nd and 23rd at The Pearl Studios. Directed by Mark Waldrop,The Countess of Storyville, has music by Martin Silvestri, lyrics by Joel Higgins, book by R.M. Cohen and is choreographed by Denis Jones. Abingdon Theatre Company has appointed Tony Speciale as its next Artistic Director. Mr. Speciale, currently represented Off-Broadway as director of The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, succeeds Jan Buttram, who leaves her post after 22 years. Mr. Speciale begins October 1.
