In 1897 The City of New Orleans decreed a legal Red Light District known as Storyville. Ten square blocks of... SIN. The return of Countess Willie Dupree to Storyville, 30 years after her birth in prison triggers a saga in which the only certainty is that family ties can kill.

The Countess of Storyville readings will feature Nikki Renee Daniels (Book of Mormon, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, Anything Goes), Paul Schoeffler (Rock of Ages, Sweet Charity),Jamie Laverdiere (Motown The Musical, The Producers) and Kecia Lewis (Leap of Faith, Once on This Island).

Margot Astrachan said, "The musical is a sweeping Broadway love story about a one of a kind woman of color who created her own destiny in a man's world over a century ago. Based on events and people, the contemporary score echoes jazz and ragtime."
