Rehearsals begin today for the brand new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton). The musical begins performances Friday, March 31 prior to an official opening night on Wednesday, April 26 at Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45 Street). Bandstand features music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker.

Michael Alden Productions presents the New York premiere of NOT THAT JEWISH, written and performed by Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe nominated writer and comedian Monica Piper (Writer of Roseanne, Mad About You, Rugrats) and directed by Mark Waldrop (Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly, Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends).

The Workshop Theater (312 W 36th Street) will present a return engagement of The Astonishing Times of Timothy Cratchit, by popular demand, Thursday, December 1 - Sunday, December, 18, 2016. Featuring a book by Allan Knee (Little Women) with music and lyrics by Andre Catrini, The Astonishing Times of Timothy Cratchit is a musical coming of age story that begins ten years after Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Casting will be announced shortly. Tickets are now on sale.

Last night's Career Transition For Dancers 31st Anniversary Jubilee at the New York Marriott Marquis? was a great success. The evening honored Joe Lanteri/the New York City Dance Alliance? Foundation, and philanthropists Barbara and Donald Tober for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance. The gala benefit evening raised  $800,000 and was presented by the Lloyd E. Rigler-Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation and benefits The Actors Fund's CTFD services for the dance community.

The Actors Fund will honor Joe Lanteri / The NYC Dance Alliance, and philanthropists Barbara and Donald Tober at the Career Transition For Dancers (CTFD) 31st Anniversary Jubilee on Monday, September 26 at 6 pm at the New York Marriott Marquis (1535 Broadway).

The Fulton Theatre continues to experience unprecedented growth. Under the leadership and guidance of Artistic Director Marc Robin and Managing Director Aaron Young, the theatre's audience has increased from 60,000 to well over 130,000 and box office revenue has increased by 300%. The future is brighter than ever for the Lancaster and National treasure, as the Fulton makes plans for future expansion. Part of the expansion includes a reorganization of the Fulton administrative structure, redefining responsibilities throughout the organization. The role of Managing Director has been eliminated and will be replaced by a more focused financial position. Paper Mill Playhouse opens its 2015-2016 season with the world premiere musical THE BANDSTAND.
