Highlights include the latest chapter from Joe's Pub favorite Justin Vivian Bond on May 26, 27, 28 and 29; Elisa Monte Dance's After Dark with live mixing by Twelve45 on May 26 and 27; Hello Taiwan, an annual showcase introducing some of Taiwan's up-and-coming stars to American audiences, featuring Sean Huang, Gina Can, Biung and Treya on May 27; contemporary Yiddish band Nikitov, fronted by Niki Jacobs, on May 28; and, Portuguese collaborators Renato Diz and Maria Quintanilla on May 29.

The Writers Studio, the landmark school for creative writing and thinking founded and directed by Pulitzer Prize winning poet Philip Schultz, celebrates its 30th anniversary with the release of the 400-page anthology, The Writers Studio at 30 (Epiphany Editions).
New Musical DREAMLAND Set for NoHo Arts Center This Weekend

Dreamland, a new musical conceived, written, composed by 14-time Emmy Award winner John Francis Smith with daughter Asia Ray Smith, will have its first ever "off-book" staged performances at the NoHo Arts Center Friday, June 17 at 8:00 pm; and Saturday, June 18 at 2:00 and 8:00 pm. The production is also produced by Smith. Robert Arnold directs, with musical direction by Christian Regul and Jake Anthony (who also serves as vocal director).

Lard Butt LLC (www.lardbutt.com), an apparel and lifestyle company dedicated to below-average athletes and weekend warriors, today announced that the first annual Lard Butt 1K (yes, that is a 1K) is set for Today, June 11 at Seattle's Magnuson Park. Instead of traditional water stations, the Lard Butt 1K will feature donut stations every 250 meters, replace timing chips with chocolate chips and host a well-stocked beer garden before and after. Along with a canned-food drive for the University District Food Bank, there will be a 'Spirit of Lard Butt' costume contest and Health & Fatness Expo.
