Kristin Chenoweth and the cast of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURYstopped by this morning's TODAY to perform a medley of songs from the hit Broadway musical.

"April showers may come your way, they bring flowers that bloom in May!" So go the words of the old Tin Pan Alley song. When the days begin to get longer, and the daffodils work to pop up through the dirt, we know that spring is just around the corner. April is that gateway to birds singing, grass growing, and romance blooming. This month we look at spring and the season's sweet rains that give life to young love.

The 69th Annual TONY AWARDS, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. With the recent confirmation that Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis will announce the nominations for the awards on April 28, BroadwayWorld brings you a look back at the shows whose curtains have come down for a final time - though remain eligible to take home the top prizes on theatre's biggest night!

Kristin Chenoweth stopped by this morning's TODAY to talk about starring in the Broadway revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY in which she portrays glamorous Hollywood starlet Lilly Garland.

ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY star Kristin Chenoweth took to Twitter to share a backstage photo of herself and her good friend Bradley Whitford following this week's performance of the musical revival.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that PS Classics will record the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY on Monday, March 23, 2015. This new Broadway Cast Recording will be released on May 19, 2015. The production is currently playing at the American Airlines Theatre through July 5, 2015.

On the Twentieth Century is choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman, and book & lyrics by Betty ComdenandAdolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince. Gallagher returned to the show earlier this week, but BroadwayWorld has just learned that he will be out again tonight, March 6, and the matinee tomorrow, March 7. Gallagher is expected to return for the evening performance. Understudy James Moye will perform the role of Oscar Jaffee in his absence.
