The Tony Award-nominated comedy, 'Lettice and Lovage,' opens Westport Country Playhouse's 87th Season, written by Peter Shaffer, author of 'Amadeus,' and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. Westport Country Playhouse Announces Casting Change in LETTICE AND LOVAGE

Westport Country Playhouse announces that Kandis Chappell has joined the cast of "Lettice and Lovage" in the role of Miss Lettice Douffet, beginning Thursday, June 1.  Due to a health issue, the original actress playing Lettice had to leave the role during final rehearsals.  She is doing well and wished a speedy recovery.

Peter Shaffer Expert to Speak at LETTICE AND LOVAGE Sunday Symposium at WCP

Alan Pally, an authority on Tony and Academy Award-winning British playwright Peter Shaffer ("Amadeus," "Equus"), will be guest speaker at the Playhouse's Sunday Symposium following the Sunday, June 4, 3 p.m. matinee performance of Shaffer's comedy "Lettice and Lovage." 

Matthew Morrison to Headline Westport Country Playhouse's 2017 'Moonlight Over Venice' Gala

Tony, Emmy, and two-time Golden Globe nominee Matthew Morrison will headline Westport Country Playhouse's 2017 fundraising gala on Saturday evening, September 9. New this year will be the Gala's move to Saturday evening instead of Monday night as in past seasons. The Gala's theme, 'Moonlight Over Venice,' is a nod to the Playhouse's autumn production of 'Romeo and Juliet'.

The Tony Award-nominated comedy, "Lettice and Lovage," will open Westport Country Playhouse's 87th Season, written by Peter Shaffer, author of "Amadeus," and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director.  The play runs from May 30 through June 17.

Westport Country Playhouse Hosts 2017 Season Kick-off Block Party on 5/6

Westport Country Playhouse will host a 2017 Season Kick-off Block Party, on Saturday, May 6, 4 to 7 p.m., offering a fun, party-like atmosphere with food trucks, activities, prizes, music, special ticket offers, and a look at the Playhouse's "backstage experience." Westport Country Playhouse Family Festivities Series presents New Musical PETE THE CAT on 4/2

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present the new musical "Pete the Cat," based on the series of books by Kimberly and James Dean, on Sunday, April 2, for two performances, at 1 p.m., and 4 p.m.  Produced by Theatreworks USA, the show is recommended for ages 4 to 8. Running time is approximately one hour.  Tickets are $20.
