The Vineyard Theatre and WP Theater announced casting, design team and on sale date for the upcoming World Premiere of sandblasted at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street). 

 The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return on Tuesday, October 26th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances. Thirteen actors have been paired with writers who have crafted unique pieces especially for them. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.  

Performer and writer Christy Escobar (Dietland) is one of 3,000 New York City-based artists to receive $5,000 through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre.

The conflict between seeing multiple sides of an issue and the insistence that there is only one correct side is the power that fuels Bekah Brunstetter's sweet and provocative multi-layered comedy/drama The Cake, a fictional story that offers evenly sliced arguments regarding the news-making debates involving same-sex couples planning their wedding receptions and bakers who decline their cake-creating business.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced the release of Miss You Like Hell - Original Cast Recording on physical CD in stores and online today, Friday, November 16. 

The Public Theater officially opened the MOBILE UNIT's production of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM on Friday, November 2. Directed by Jenny Koons, the free sit-down run of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM follows a three-week tour to five boroughs bringing Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM began previews on Sunday, October 28 and will run through Saturday, November 17.

For most New York playgoers, the words "Shakespeare In The Park" will immediately bring to mind the free performances at Central Park's outdoor Delacorte Theater, created decades ago by The Public Theater's visionary founder, Joseph Papp.
