Cabrillo Festival to Celebrate Marin Alsop's 25th & Final Season in August

Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, America's longest running festival dedicated to new music for orchestra, is pleased to announce programming for its 54th season. The Festival celebrates Music Director and Conductor Marin Alsop's 25th Anniversary year, and her final with the Cabrillo Festival.

Renee Fleming Returning to Carnegie Hall with Pianist Olga Kern, 3/9

Acclaimed American soprano Renee Fleming performs in recital with pianist Olga Kern on Wednesday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The program includes Robert Schumann's Frauenliebe und -leben, Op. 42, Debussy's Ariettes oubliees, and a selection of songs by Rachmaninoff. Ms. Fleming and Ms. Kern close their program with five songs by jazz musician and composer Patricia Barber.

Brevard Music Center Stages 'Music Rivalry' for Super Bowl 50

Brevard, NC and Aspen, Colo.—Lady Gaga won't be the only one in the musical spotlight at Super Bowl 50. This Sunday, Brevard Music Center and Aspen Music Festival -- two of the country's most prestigious music institutions and summer festivals -- are putting their batons down, and fists up, to defend the honor of their respective football teams, the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. 

Leading Soloists Join LA Master Chorale for Verdi's REQUIEM Today

The Los Angeles Master Chorale, led by Artistic Director Grant Gershon, presents two performances of Verdi's towering Requiem, a work National Public Radio calls a 'thrilling opera in disguise,' with acclaimed guest soloists Amber Wagner, soprano, Michelle DeYoung, mezzo soprano, Issachah Savage, tenor, and Morris Robinson, bass, today, January 30, 2 pm, and tomorrow, Sunday, January 31, 2016, 7 pm, at Walt Disney Concert Hall. A stunningly theatrical staple of the choral repertoire, Verdi's work is a tumultuous, tortured, terrifying spectacle that has thrilled audiences since its debut in 1874.

Tony Winner Kelli O'Hara to Make Solo Carnegie Hall Debut During 2016-17 Season; Full Lineup Set!

Carnegie Hall today unveiled its 2016-2017 season consisting of more than 170 concerts as well as wide-ranging education and community programs created by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. The upcoming season includes performances by many of the world's greatest artists, including Tony winner Kelli O'Hara making her solo headlining debut at the renowned venue on Oct. 29, as well as ensembles representing classical, pop, jazz, and world music, with events presented on Carnegie Hall's three stages, in the Hall's Resnick Education Wing, and throughout New York City.

Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Returning to Carnegie Hall, 2/26-28

The legendary Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra returns to Carnegie Hall this February for three consecutive concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage conducted by Valery Gergiev. During each of the three concerts, the orchestra highlights the music of Richard Wagner, beginning with the Overture to Der fliegende Hollander on the first program on Friday, February 26 at 8:00 p.m., which is heard alongside Debussy's La mer and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition (orch. Ravel).
