In this absorbing solo show, Steve wonders why other people can-and why he can't-tie the knot. He sheds light on how people meet and make it to the altar, the push and pull of relationships, singles who can't seem to settle down, and more.

Master guitarist, producer, composer, musical director and arranger Terry Wollman has just released a new single, “No Problem,” already #1 most added onBillboard Smooth Jazz chart, SmoothJazz.com and Radio Wave Internet Airplay. The song, which he wrote, arranged and produced, features enviable musicians including Mindi Abair on alto sax, Greg Manning on keyboards, Hussain Jiffry on bass and John 'JR' Robinson on drums. “I absolutely love playing electric guitar. When I had the opportunity to go into the studio with these wonderful musicians, I knew this song was the perfect choice for a live recording session,” said Terry. He recorded the song, which he calls a “burning electric blues shuffle,” using his AC Plus, SP Compressor, EP Booster and Xotic Wah.

On Monday night, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer/actress Linda Purl, who teamed with female jazz orchestra DIVA in a new show called "Singing the Great Ladies of the Glamorous Nightclub Era."

USM faculty cellist William Rounds performs Oswaldo Golijov's stunning solo cello work Omaramor then joins with USM alumna and former faculty member Elisabeth Marshall, soprano, presenting a collection of poems by Anne Bradstreet with music by James Kallembach. PSO principal oboist Amanda Hardy is then featured for a performance of an oboe/cello duo by Marilyn Zupnick. Finally, Rounds will perform the famed cello/bass duo by Gioachinno Rossini with PSO principal bassist Joseph Holt. Three of the works have been published within the last 20 years, making this a most relevant program for our time.

Riverside Theatre, led by Producing Artistic Director/CEO Allen D. Cornell and Managing Director/COO Jon R. Moses, present the very funny play by Jonathan Tolins, Buyer & Cellar. The Mountain Play - Casting is complete for the Mountain Play's production of Mamma Mia! which will inject the San Francisco Bay Area with a dose of Abba elation this May.

Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will present HOLLYWOOD REVISITED as a special benefit to support Musical Theatre Guild's extensive youth outreach programs. Ann Kittredge makes her Laurie Beechman Theatre debut for one night only on Monday, March 19th at 7pm. She returned to the stage this past year after a long absence, having performed on and off Broadway, in regional theater, as well as in film and television.

Rossini's Semiramide is presented at the Met for the first time in 25 years, with eight performances beginning February 19, 2018, led by Maurizio Benini. The cast, comprised of artists considered by many to be amongst the world's leading bel canto singers, includes Angela Meade in the title role, Elizabeth DeShong as Arsace, Javier Camarena as Idreno, Ildar Abdrazakov as King Assur and Ryan Speedo Green as the High Priest Oroe. On March 10, 2018, the production will be transmitted to cinemas throughout the world as part of the Met's Live in HD series.
