Cleveland Play House Board of Directors is has announced that regional theatre veteran Mark Cuddy has been appointed to serve as Interim Artistic Director. Industry visionary and arts champion Mark Cuddy comes to Cleveland from Rochester, NY, having served as Artistic Director of Geva Theatre Center.

Cleveland Play House has announced the leadership plan to support the 105-year-old institution's executive management for the remainder of the 2020-2021 operating season.  This plan brings to the CPH team an Interim Managing Director and a Chief Financial Officer.

Cleveland Play House is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Managing Director Kevin Moore. Moore died possibly due to a pulmonary embolism or heart attack on the morning of Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was 59 years old.

Cleveland Play House has announced that its 2020-2021 theatrical season will include a series of virtual performances, programs, and special events. Amid the health, safety, and economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, Cleveland Play House (CPH) will provide engaging, inspiring, and entertaining programming during its 105th consecutive season of serving the Northeast Ohio community.

The Tony winning musical takes you on a journey of life, prejudices and racism that existed in Memphis in the 1950's. Loosely based on the true life story of Memphis DJ Dewy Phillips and written by David Bryan (music and lyrics) and Joe DiPietro (lyrics and book), the raw emotions of the storyline are felt strongly by the audience as portrayed by this outstanding cast.

Memphis at the Woodlawn proves to be more dynamic and less melodramatic than the touring production, with some excellent performances from a very talented cast.
