 Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc will release his first holiday album, CHRISTMAS FUNK   November 9 (via Aloe Blacc Recordings, Inc.) The debut single “I Got Your Christmas Right Here” will be available November 2 at all digital retailers. 

To help audiences celebrate the holiday season, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts will present the energizing 'DRUMLine Live Holiday Spectacular' at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 29. Created by the acclaimed musical team behind the popular “Drumline” films, this festive production features elite vocalists, musicians and choreography all based on the marching band tradition of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

BET Networks today announces the nominees for the 2018 Soul Train Awards across 12 different categories. International singing & songwriting icon Mariah Carey has announced her upcoming Caution World Tour set to kick off in February 2019. The multi-platinum selling, multiple Grammy Award winner will get closer to the fans with her most intimate tour yet. The once-in-a-lifetime 22-city run produced by Live Nation starts in Dallas and will visit Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Atlantic City, Philadelphia and more. The tour will stop in Atlanta for one night only at the Fox Theatre on Tuesday, March 5 at 8 p.m.

Multi-platinum global superstar and legendary music icon Mariah Carey is set to join NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" as a key advisor for the Season 15 Knockout Rounds beginning Monday, Oct. 29.  

Today, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) has announced some of the very special presenters who will help induct the 2018 class during a red-carpet gala and ceremony taking place November 8, 2018 at The Space at Westbury (250 Post Avenue, Westbury, New York). Presenters this year include six-time Grammy Award winner Billy Joel, VP of Columbia Records and the man who signed Michael Jackson - Ron Alexenburg, Senior Director of Music Programming at SIRIUSXM - Lou Simon, The Cowsills, Chuck D & DJ Chuck Chillout, Jackie (Jokeman) Martling, and Live Nation Promoter Christian McKnight, with more to be confirmed.

Variety says Mariah Carey released “The Distance,” the third song from her upcoming album, “Caution.” The song features a guest verse from Ty Dolla $ign.

USC Shoah Foundation-The Institute for Visual History and Education (USC Shoah Foundation) announced a collaboration with David Korins Design-whose founder David Korins is the critically acclaimed designer behind Broadway smash hits Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen-to bring USC Shoah Foundation content into museums and other organizational spaces for public exhibitions. As such, Korins will work as Creative Director for each collaborative exhibit, providing design leadership in the work with museums to display USC Shoah Foundation content, programs, and innovative storytelling technology.

The multitalented R&B vocal group Next Town Down will be joining the line up for 2nd Annual #YouTubeBlack FanFest this Tuesday, October 23.

Mariah Carey took to social media to announce the title and release date of her new album. In her Twitter post, she announces the title is 'Caution' and it will be released on November 16th. This is Carey's 15th studio album.

Tony Award-winning actress, singer and performer Idina Menzel's music video for her studio version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is out now. Watch/share the video HERE. The song comes from her upcoming album idina: live which is slated for release October 12. Along with "Bridge Over Troubled Water," Menzel recently released her live versions of Rent's "Seasons of Love," and "Don't Rain on My Parade" which premiered at Playbill and TheaterMania respectively. 

Eowyn Ivey's debut novel The Snow Child is reborn as a magical new musical featuring a score that combines Alaskan string-band traditions and contemporary musical theater. On November 17t, SubCulture will present the show in a concert adaptation featuring KATE BALDWIN, MATT BOGART, FINA STRAZZA, GERARD CANONICO, SALLY MAYES and WILLIAM PARRY.
