The Theater Hall of Fame has announced its 2018 Inductees which include actors Rene Auberjonais, Christine Baranski, and Cicely Tyson; playwrights Maria Irene Fornes, David Henry Hwang, and Adrienne Kennedy; director Joe Mantello, and posthumously James Houghton.

The Acting Company (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) will honor director and artistic leader Bill Rauch and the married civic leaders Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and Ambassador Carl Spielvogel- individuals whose exemplary work aligns with the artistic and educational ideals of the storied repertory company that produces nationally recognized theater productions and arts education programs-at the Company's 2018 Fall Gala, on November 12. Held at the historic Metropolitan Club (One East 60th Street), the event will bring together awards, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and cocktails in celebration of theater and its contribution to American society.

The New York Butoh Institute and Vangeline Theater present the New York Butoh Institute Festival 2018, a celebration of diversity in butoh featuring 16 artists from Japan, Brazil, Chile, UK, Israel, Italy, Germany, France, Costa Rica, Spain, and the United States. Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, presents Cyberbabies: A Musical Dot.Comedy, a world premiere musical with book, music and lyrics by Craig Silver. Lissa Moira directs a cast of 14, including William Broderick, Jef Canter, Selear Duke, Katie Fann, Becca Gottlieb, Jordan Griffey, Zander Kirby, David "Zen" Mansley, Michael Maricondi, Olivia Medley, James Parks, Johnathan Fox Powers, Dani Westhead, and Amanda Yachechak.  Performances will be staged at the Community Space at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (bet. 9th and 10th Streets), New York, NY 10003 from May 31-June 17, 2018.

When her ship is wrecked, Viola washes ashore in the unfamiliar land of Illyria and embarks on a journey to find her lost brother. Brimming with music, love and longing, Shakespeare's enchanting play transports audiences to a world of comedic mayhem, mistaken identity and unrequited passion. This co-production with the Resident Ensemble Players comes to Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Pl, Brooklyn), May 10-27.

New York City staple Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Tony & Emmy Award winner Stockard Channing will return to the New York stage in the Off-Broadway premiere of APOLOGIA, by Alexi Kaye Campbell (The Pride). APOLOGIA will be directed by three-time Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin (Bad Jews, Skintight). Channing returns to the role of "Kristin" in Apologia following an acclaimed run in London's West End in 2017.

From March 1 to 18, La MaMa will present Theater Three Collaborative in a new production of 'Extreme Whether,' a 'Cli-Fi' play written and directed by Karen Malpede. The piece juxtaposes psychological and magical realism in a tale of a courageous climate researcher who is defamed by special interests, including his own family. Obie-winner Rocco Sisto heads a cast of six.
