The Canadian Screen Awards honour outstanding achievement in the Canadian television, film and digital media industries and are administered by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Elyse Walker hosted her ninth annual Pink Party and fashion show at Santa Monica Airport Friday night with help from Anne Hathaway. “When they told me that Annie would like to help with the event this year, I said, 'Sure, who's Annie?'” said Walker. It seems that Hathaway's good friend was treated at the Women's Cancer Center at Cedars Sinai, for which the event raised $1.7 million. “Elyse is a tireless champion,” said Hathaway. “She's…what's the Yiddish word for a female mensch?” she asked her husband Adam Shulman. “She's a mensch-ette.”
