La Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de México y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal), en colaboración con la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), ofrecerán el programa Música Inbal en tu escuela. El arte del piano se desarrollará todos los jueves de febrero con un concierto que integra diversos estilos musicales a través de las obras de compositores de renombre internacional y la participación de destacados intérpretes y artistas.

El Teatro de la Zarzuela acoge este mes de mayo la producción del Campoamor de Oviedo de DON GIL DE ALCALÁ, de Manuel Penella. Con dirección de Emilio Sagi y escenografia de Daniel Bianco, la obra cuenta con intérpretes de la talla de Celso Albelo, José Luis Sola, Sabina Puértolas, Irene Palazón, Carlos Cosías o Facundo Muñoz.

On May 4, 2019, Los Angeles Opera presented a colorful, opulent production of Manuel Penella's opera EL GATO MONTES (THE WILDCAT) at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Starring in the cast were Placido Domingo as Juanillo, El Gato, with Ana Maria Martinez as Solea and Arturo Chacon-Cruz as Raphael, El Macareno. Needless to say the house was packed.

LA Opera presents performances of the classic film, THE LOSER, on February 22 and 23, 2019, at The Theatre in the Ace Hotel. It will feature the West Coast premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang's compelling new score.

Eli and Edythe Broad General Director Pl cido Domingo has announced the repertory and artist roster for the company's 2018/19 season, planned by Mr. Domingo in collaboration with Richard Seaver Music Director James Conlon and Sebastian Paul and Marybelle Musco President and CEO Christopher Koelsch. The season will include six mainstage productions presented at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, with additional performances presented elsewhere through the company's Off Grand initiative.
