Ground-breaking new musical theatre event SIGNAL is taking over The Hospital Club's Oak Room for the fourth time. This free concert showcases some of the best and boldest new British musical theatre and since its first incarnation last December has presented over fifty world premieres of new musical theatre songs. Helped by a selection of West End performers and accompanied by a live house band, SIGNAL looks to showcase the breadth and talent of those currently developing new British musical theatre.
Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey, today announces full casting for the world premiere production of The Assassination of Katie Hopkins - a new musical from Chris Bush and Matt Winkworth. The production sees James Grieve, return to Clwyd to direct Rakesh Boury (Wesley), Che Francis (Karl), Derek Hutchinson (Brian), Genesis Lynea (Nina), Maimuna Memon (Shayma), Amy Booth-Steele (Pam), Bethzienna Williams (Kayleigh) and Matthew Woodyatt (Richard). The production opens in the Emlyn Williams Theatre on Thursday 26 April with previews from Friday 20 April.
London Playwrights' Workshop is partnering with musical theatre writing team Barlow & Smith to create the Women's Musical Theatre Initiative (WMTI), a new development programme for female musical theatre writers. The WMTI will launch with a cabaret 'Celebrating Female Songwriters' at The Pheasantry on 12 February 2018. The evening will be hosted by songwriters Barlow & Smith and will bring together a group of accomplished female songwriters to showcase new writing and to raise funds to support the initiative.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has today announced completed casting for Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar, which returns to the theatre from 11 August in an extended run through to 23 September 2017.
Audiences have just over a month left to experience David Bowie and Enda Walsh's LAZARUS. The final performance of the production's strictly limited 13-week run will be held on Sunday 22 January 2017 at King's Cross Theatre, the brand new 900-seater venue built specifically for the production.
