The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York State affiliate of the ACLU, just welcomed an array of award-winning performers for Broadway Stands Up for Freedom, its annual benefit concert, which was held last night, July 21, at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place, NYC).performaers included: Adam Chanler-Berat, Justin Guarini, Zach Unger, Barrett Foa, Lena Hall, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Condola Rashad, Robin de Jesus, Seth Rudetsky, Telly Leung and more! Maggie Keenan-Bolger and Honest Accomplice Theatre will host a networking event geared towards increasing the visibility and opportunities for queer women and trans* people in the performing arts. "Not Just Another Coming Out Story," a new play by Maggie Keenan-Bolger will be presented as a reading on Tuesday, August 13th at 8PM to benefit Green Chimneys NYC, an organization fostering LGBT homeless kids who have been ejected from their homes because of their sexual orientation.

Maggie Keenan-Bolger and Rachel Sullivan will present The Birds and the Bees…Unabridged, an original devised theater piece about female sexuality accompanied by a pre/post show art exhibit. Bringing together a diverse ensemble of 25 people, and over 10 visual artists, The Birds and the Bees…Unabridged received over 2,000 survey responses and raised $9,962 through a Kickstarter campaign to make this show possible. The producers of the new musical Bare have announced the upcoming series of speakers for the January TalkOUT events. Audiences at select performances will be invited to stay after the show to participate in a discussion with some of the foremost leaders in the fight for LGBT equality. This month's special guests will include Ross Murray (GLAAD) with Missi Pyle (BARE's own 'Sister Joan'), Nathan Schaefer (Empire State Pride Agenda), Maggie Keenan-Bolger and Derrick Miller-Handley (The Point Foundation), Rabbi Michael Mellen, The Clementi Family (Tyler Clementi Foundation) and Taylor Trensch with Stafford Arima (BARE's 'Peter' and the show's director).

NEWSIES star Andrew Keenan-Bolger recently took the time to put together a music video for summer 2012, featuring some of his NEWSIES castmates and even some other Broadway veterans. Keenan-Bolger writes: 'I brought my camera along whenever I was hanging out with my friends this summer. I decided to compile the footage together in an unofficial video for my favorite song of the summer, '1904' by The Tallest Man On Earth.'
