Macha Theatre Works Presents World Premiere of SMOKE & DUST

Teaming up once again, writer Joy McCullough-Carranza and director Amy Poisson embark on their second journey of historical fiction about a strong woman making her way in a man's world. Macha Theatre Works announces the world premiere of SMOKE & DUST, a new play by Joy McCullough-Carranza, on Friday, March 23, 2018 produced in association with Theatre Off Jackson. Directed by Amy Poisson, the show will run through Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Leslie A Jones Reprises Acclaimed Performance in PREZ at Write Act Rep

WRITE ACT REP announces PREZ, a solo show written by playwright Willard Manus, in celebration of Black History Month, and returns to Los Angeles, as part of a Festival Series at Write Act Rep's Brickhouse Theatre called THREE BY WILL IN REP. The Series includes two World Premiere's along with the return of the acclaimed PREZ, which chronicles the unique life of jazzman Lester Young, featuring Leslie A. Jones. The intimate drama is produced by John Lant II, and will be directed by Daniel E. Keough. The show is set to open February 4th, 2018. All performances for PREZ will be on Sunday at 2PM, through March 11th, 2018, as part of the three production Series, 'THREE BY WILL IN REP'.

Coyote StageWorks, the Coachella Valleybased award-winning Actors' Equity professional theater company will kick off its 2018 theatrical season with a production of Dirty Blonde, a popular three-character comedy about the legendary Mae West, starring Steve Gunderson, Bets Malone, and Larry Raben, and directed by James Gruessing. Award Winning Equity Theatre Coyote Stageworks Announces DIRTY BLONDE and THE COCKTAIL HOUR For Their 2017-18 Season

Coyote StageWorks, the Coachella Valley-based award-winning Actors' Equity professional theater company, announced that its ninth season will include productions of two highly entertaining stage plays, presented at the Palm Springs Art Museum's Annenberg Theater, as well as the return of much-anticipated free Play Dates staged reading series. The Coyote StageWorks season will open with a performance of Dirty Blonde for nine performances, running February 2 11, 2018. This will be followed by the production The Cocktail Hour, running March 23 - April 1 for nine performances. The Play Dates series will run on selected Sundays from November through June at the Camelot Theater, part of the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
