Just last night, MCC Theater presented their annual Miscast gala, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of MCC Theater. The performers included: Tony winners Norbert Leo Butz, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jennifer Holliday and Kelli O'Hara; Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block, Carmen Cusack, Brian d'Arcy James and Brandon Victor Dixon; plus Dear Evan Hansen breakout Ben Platt and Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez. Ahead of the annual Miscast Gala Monday, MCC Theater has just this morning launched a spring auction with a dozen exclusive Broadway experiences, including the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the cast of New York's hit musical Chicago. 

The West Coast Premiere of Mike Donahue's latest directorial project THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA McBRIDE arrives at The Geffen Playhouse April 4, 2017. Mike took some time out of rehearsals to chat with BroadwayWorld and myself.

MCC Theater today announced complete casting for the American Premiere of the play The End of Longing, a new play written by and starring 'Friends' star Matthew Perry in his NYC playwriting and stage acting debuts.

Theatre Calgary's Board of Directors have announced Stafford Arima as the new Artistic Director of Theatre Calgary. Mr. Arima becomes the 12th Artistic Director in the theatre's 49-year history.

The Red Fern Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of RARE BIRDS by Adam Szymkowicz (Clown Bar, Hearts Like Fists, Pretty Theft, Nerve). Directed by Scott Ebersold, (The View UpStairs, Nerve) performances begin March 23 at The Theater at the 14th Street Y in the East Village.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) is pleased to announce that its upcoming American Premiere of the play The End of Longing-written by and starring iconic "Friends" star Matthew Perry in his NYC playwriting and stage acting debuts-is now on sale at www.mcchteater.org.  The End of Longing, directed by Lindsay Posner, begins performances onMay 18, 2017 ahead of a June 5 opening night at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).

???????The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti. In-demand director Stafford Arima (Broadway's Allegiance, Off Broadway's Altar Boyz, West End's Ragtime) returns to the Globe, following Allegiance and Ace, to helm the award-winning drama, which runs March 25 - April 30, 2017.

The Guthrie Theater today announced seven of the nine productions to be offered as part of the theater's 2017-2018 subscription season, including Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and Todd Kreidler's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner on the Wurtele Thrust Stage, and Lillian Hellman's Watch on the Rhine, Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, Danai Gurira's Familiar, Kia Corthron's world premiere adaptation of Ibsen's An Enemy of the People and Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of Linda, a new play by Penelope Skinner (The Ruins of Civilization at MTC, The Village Bike) directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (The Assembled Parties, Wit), opens tonight, February 28, 2017 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

The Geffen Playhouse today announced five plays in its 2017/2018 season with a focus on staging works by emerging contemporary playwrights and celebrated veteran writers.
