Katrina Lindsay has won the 2018 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play for HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, PARTS ONE AND TWO.

BAFTA Award winner and Academy & Tony Award nominee Carey Mulligan will bring her critically acclaimed starring performance in Girls & Boys, the shattering new play by Dennis Kelly and directed by Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner to New York for five weeks only. Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Stratford East, Nadia Fall, today announces Lenny Henry to take on the role of Elmore in August Wilson's King Hedley II as part of her inaugural season. This marks the first time Wilson's work will be staged at Theatre Royal Stratford East.

The plot of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE seems ripped from today's headlines: think Flint, think Detroit. Of course, Norwegian Henrik Ibsen (an iconoclast in his day, generally regarded as "The Father of Social Realism" in western theater history) penned this prescient piece back in 1882. What the Guthrie is producing is a new adaptation by Brad Birch, first staged in 2016 in Wales. It's undergone further revision for this production. Birch's adaptation is most welcome. The familiar story is lifted up to a whole new level by the striking visuals and swift, intriguing transitions devised by director Lyndsey Turner and her design team.

She's been reflecting on an American mass shooting (and the fact that yet another has taken place just this week is sickening) and wondering whether violence is innate, and if so, whether it's a particularly male impulse.

The pioneering Belgian choreographer directs a genre-defying play honouring the Japanese art form of manga. Sensational visual effects, impactful storytelling and performances of physical grace illuminate this iconic Astro Boy tale by the father of manga, Osamu Tezuka.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces that Josie Rourke is to step down in 2019, after eight years as Artistic Director, and Executive Producer Kate Pakenham will leave in June 2018. The team were the first female partnership to run a London theatre. During Rourke and Pakenham's tenure the Donmar stage has seen ground-breaking productions, including BAFTA-nominated The Vote, with Dame Judi Dench, which reached over half a million homes on the night of the 2015 General Election; the award-winning Coriolanus with Tom Hiddleston (2013); and the culture-shifting all-female Shakespeare Trilogy starring Harriet Walter, from director Phyllida Lloyd (2012-2016) in London and New York, and on screen.

An extra week of performances has been added today to the world premiere of Girls & Boys, written by Dennis Kelly and directed by Lyndsey Turner. The production will be running from Thursday 8 February 2018 - Saturday 17 March 2018. Girls & Boys, which sees Carey Mulligan playing the role of Women, runs in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs with press performances on Wednesday 14 February at 7pm and Thursday 15 February at 7pm. Reviews are embargoed until 11.59pm on Thursday 15 February 2018.
